An Extraordinary Record of Accomplishments

Manju Gandhi Raman brings enormous credibility to the race for Santa Monica City Council. Appointed to the Public Safety Reform Oversight Commission, Manju has been entrusted to lead Santa Monica's efforts to ensure accountability, transparency, and equity in public safety policies and practices. Manju's commitment to a safer, more secure Santa Monica is unparalleled. She is leading the fight to ensure Santa Monica's First Responders have the resources they need to keep our community safe. 


She serves as a board member of the Santa Monica Political Activities League (PAL), which enhances youth academic, social and life skills, and bridges the gap between youth and law enforcement. She also sits on the board of Westside School of Ballet, Los Angeles' oldest and most successful public ballet school. 


Manju currently serves as the elected Vice Chair of the Wilshire Montana Neighborhood Coalition, where she has led the fight to preserve the character and vitality of Santa Monica's neighborhoods.

Meet Manju

A product of the local community, Manju attended Palos Verdes High School before pursuing her undergraduate and graduate degrees at UCLA School of Medicine, demonstrating her strong commitment to academic excellence and community involvement.


Manju Raman brings a wealth of leadership, community engagement, and a deep commitment to public service to her

candidacy for City Council in Santa Monica. As the General Manager of the renowned Huntley Santa Monica Beach Hotel, has demonstrated exceptional management skills and a profound commitment to the support and well-being of employees.


As a respected leader in the Santa Monica business community, Manju is a proud member of Santa Monica Travel & Tourism and the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce. Her extensive philanthropic experience, coupled with her involvement in crucial community initiatives such as the ZOU & LUCE referendum on the Hines project, demonstrates her ability to engage in complex issues and work towards positive change.
